Junior Beekeeping

Join Mr. Bee for a hands-on adventure into the world of honey bees!

Designed for children ages 4-10, this interactive experience allows young beekeepers to see how honey is harvested straight from the hive and learn why bees are so important to our world.

During the Experience, Junior Beekeepers Will:

  • Learn about honey bees and how they make honey
  • Watch wax being removed from a real honey frame
  • Help spin honey in a honey extractor
  • Pour and label their own mini bottle of honey
  • Explore beeswax, honeycomb, and beekeeping equipment
  • Receive an official Junior Beekeeper Certificate

What to Expect

  • Approximately 90 minutes
  • Designed for ages 4-10
  • Parent or guardian must remain on-site
  • Held twice each year at Mr. Bee's Farm
  • Space is limited to ensure a personal experience

Take Home

Every Junior Beekeeper will leave with:

  • A mini bottle of honey they bottled themselves
  • A Junior Beekeeper Certificate
  • Sweet memories from the farm
